# Shopify

[Shopify](https://www.shopify.com/) is an e-commerce platform used by businesses to create and manage online stores. It provides tools for building a website, processing payments, managing inventory, and handling shipping.

Follow this guide to install and activate the Trustap plugin for Shopify.

This guide requires the following.

1. You have an active Shopify account.
2. You have a Trustap account with your [personal and payout information](https://trustap.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/16178359018129-Adding-your-personal-and-payout-information).
3. You have your Trustap [account credentials](/docs/intro/auth).


## Install the Trustap Shopify app

Install the app
Open the [Trustap Shopify app page](https://apps.shopify.com/trustap).

1. Click **Install**.


1. Review the access details and click **Install**.


The Trustap app will be added to your Shopify store.

Configure the app
1. In your Shopify dashboard, click **Apps**, and click **Trustap**. If you have a large number of apps installed you can also use search to find `Trustap`.


1. Configure your **Trustap TEST Account** and **Trustap LIVE Account**. Enter your Trustap test and live account credentials.


The Trustap support team send you your Trustap credentials. Credentials are base64 encoded strings that look like the following.

1. Click **Login**, to validate your access and agree to the account access.
2. In your Shopify dashboard, click **⚙ Settings**.
3. From the menu, click **Payments**.
4. Under **Additional payment methods**, click **Trustap**. Here you can enable and disable Trustap **Test mode**.


Reorder payment methods
Shopify plus users can reorder their payment methods using [Shopify Checkout Blocks](https://apps.shopify.com/checkout-blocks). Use [this guide](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/checkout-settings/checkout-blocks/customizations/payment-methods#reorder-payment-methods) to make Trustap the first payment method in your checkout page.

## What your customers sees

When your Trustap Shopify app has been installed and configured, Trustap is added to your list of available payment methods during checkout.

When your customer selects **Trustap** and clicks **Pay now**, they are directed to the Trustap payment flow.
